Like many other races, after a two year hiatus thanks to Covid, the Essity Prudhoe Miners five mile road race returns this year.
The race is England Athletics licensed (licence number 2022-44078) and will take place on closed roads on Sunday 16th October at 4:30pm.
Entry is open to anyone aged 15 or over. There is also a separate 2km race for 7–14 year-olds which will start before the 5-mile race at 04:00pm. Both races will start and finish on Eastwoods Road, Prudhoe (NE42 5DT). They will include some upward flat sections - as anyone from Prudhoe will tell you, it’s impossible to go for a run without hills round here!
EA affiliated adults get the usual £2 discount off the adult race entry fee, and there will be prizes for the first three male and female adult finishers, including a fabulous first prize from one of our Race Sponsors, Run Unlimited. They will be providing the first male and first female finishers with a pair of Scott road shoes.
There will also be prizes for the first male and female in
the junior race.
All finishers will receive a commemorative gift (spoiler alert – it isn’t a t-shirt this year) and there is a rumour that there will be cake for all finishers too.
